Privacy Policy

When you create an account we collect your name and email address. As you use the service we also store the brand information you provide (brand name, product categories, Faire URL), the retailer contact data you discover and engage with, the outreach emails and templates you create, and engagement signals such as email opens, clicks, replies, and bounces. We collect basic usage data (searches run, emails sent) to operate and improve the service.

Retailer contact information (names, email addresses, store locations) is sourced from third-party platforms and is displayed to you so you can conduct your own outreach. We do not originate or sell this data.

Your data is used solely to provide the service: surfacing retailers that match your brand, sending outreach on your behalf, and tracking responses. We use your email address to send service-critical notifications (account confirmations, billing receipts) and, if you opt in, product updates.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your content to train AI models. Retailer data you access is for your own outreach only and may not be resold or redistributed.

We use the following services to deliver BoutiqScout:

• Anthropic — AI processing for email generation
• Supabase — Database hosting and authentication
• Railway — Cloud hosting and infrastructure
• Resend — Transactional and outreach email delivery
• Stripe — Payment processing (we never see or store your card details)

Each of these providers processes only the data necessary to perform their function and is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by emailing privacy@boutiqscout.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Certain data may be retained for a limited period where required by law (for example, billing records).

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the following rights with respect to your personal information:

• Right to know. You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, as well as the purposes for which it is used.
• Right to delete. You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.
• Right to opt out of sale. We do not sell your personal information.
• Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following lawful bases: performance of a contract (to deliver the service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (to keep the service secure and prevent fraud).

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Erase your personal data (the "right to be forgotten").
• Restrict our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

BoutiqScout is operated from the United States. When data is transferred from the EEA to the US, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission where required to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. To exercise any of the rights above, email privacy@boutiqscout.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
